According to E.U. regulations n. 2081 of 1992, it can be defined as
"typical" the products which follow the European production
rules: they are linked not only to the methodology but also to the
"area" which certainly represents one of the most
characterizing elements of the "typical products". Besides
the quality characteristics and the respect for the community rules
"typical products" go deeply inside the social and cultural
history of a territory. They are not only alimentary products but products
of a territory and the result of generations work: in one word,
they have a story to tell.
